Southeast Asia and linking central Thua Thien-Hue province and Da Nang city – was

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Primary

was approved by the Ministry of Transport in 2016 with complete financial commitment of more than
7.2 trillion VND (310.8 million USD). The to start with stage fixed and upgraded the
current Hai Van Tunnel 1 and improved a portion of Nationwide Highway No 1 above Hai
Van Go.
The next phase widened the provider tunnel utilized
for excavation of the initial tunnel into the four-lane, 6.2-km Hai Van Tunnel 2.
