GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a northern Nevada sheriff’s deputy is recovering from a gunshot to the experience and a parolee from California and a woman who was with him are jailed on felony fees soon after an exchange of gunfire all through a targeted traffic quit in Gardnerville.
Sgt. John Lenz was getting dealt with at Renown Regional Healthcare Center in Reno for a facial wound, and Douglas County Sheriff Dan Coverley issued a statement stating he was self-assured that Lenz will get well.

Nicholas Berreman, 22, was handled for a gunshot to his hand and jailed in Carson City along with Kaela Mae Horse-Berreman, 31, who was arrested with him, Carson Metropolis Sheriff Ken Furlong mentioned. The two are from Markleeville, California. They are not married, Furlong said.
Berreman had been sought on a fugitive warrant on a parole violation from California, the Douglas County sheriff’s place of work said.
He was jailed to await an initial court docket physical appearance on various felony prices together with battery with a lethal weapon and possession of a firearm by a prohibited particular person, Furlong said, and Horse-Berreman was held on a felony cost of aiding a felony offender.
Neither had a lawyer immediately named who could converse for them.
