SALISBURY — SHORE UP! Inc. a short while ago introduced the appointment of Elmira Whittington-Brown to provide as chief money officer for the Local community Action Agency. A native of Crisfield, Maryland, Brown has worked over 30 decades in the discipline, with all of her expertise attained at SHORE UP!
She replaces previous administrator of Fiscal Management, Bruce Wharton, who passed away July 2020 after a 41-12 months tenure with the agency. Brown labored in an interim capability right until her formal appointment.
“After 34 yrs at SHORE UP!, Elmira has shown her awareness of Fiscal Administration, as very well as her fervor for the company and the community we serve,” reported Executive Director Freddy L. Mitchell. “She acquired from a seasoned professional, and I have no question she will continue her diligent do the job ethic in this new ability.”
The Norfolk Condition College graduate started doing the job with SHORE UP! in 1986 as a Fiscal place of work supervisor and has assumed each and every situation in the Fiscal business since that time, which includes Fiscal professional and assistant Fiscal administrator. Brown received a Bachelor of Science diploma in business training and business administration, alongside with comprehensive coaching in non-gain accounting.
