ALLEGAN, MI — A mircobrewery in Allegan is expanding with an financial commitment into the downtown social district as it options a new creation facility and taproom for 2021.

Tantrick Brewing Co. has outgrown its latest house, just outside the house of the city, and will redevelop the 2,110-sq.-foot facility at 134 Drinking water St. in downtown Allegan to broaden neighborhood generation capacity and functions.

The organization is investing $133,725 into the output and processing facility. Tanya Schafer, Tantrick Brewing Co. proprietor, stated there are programs for a tasting area and tours at the new facility as very well.

Moreover, the microbrewery is also renovating the previous Long Branch Saloon, at 243 Hubbard St., and converting it into a taproom and restaurant.

Both of those assignments, envisioned to produce five new work in the local community, are predicted to be full in February, Schafer mentioned.

Tantrick worked with Lakeshore Advantage, a regional economic growth corporation that helps businesses with progress prospects in Ottawa and Allegan counties.

Jennifer Owens, president of Lakeshore Gain, reported the microbrewery will contribute “to the heartbeat and character of the city’s redevelopment.”

She included that foodstuff and beverage processing is just one of the region’s leading manufacturing industries. Almost one in 3 work in the area is in producing, Owens explained.

The metropolis of Allegan is offering Tantrick Brewing Co. a 12-year Industrial Amenities Tax Exemption. The developing at 134 Water St. will be utilized by Tantrick Brewing Co. entirely for the manufacturing and processing of alcoholic drinks, which enabled their qualification for the tax abatement, in accordance to a push release from Lakeshore Benefit.
