Knight Basis grants $650,000 to Akron’s ArtsNow, Nightlight Cinema

AKRON, Ohio – The John S. and James L. Knight Basis declared it will award grants totaling $650,000 to ArtsNow, a nonprofit advocating for arts and tradition, and the Nightlight Cinema, an independent nonprofit motion picture theater.

The awards assist the foundation’s mission of assisting to make artwork a lot more accessible to Akron people in an energy to create much better, additional informed and additional engaged communities.

ArtsNow will obtain a $450,000 grant. The grant will fund the organization’s additional implementation of the Akron Cultural Plan, which aims to strengthen Akron’s arts, humanities, society and heritage.
